Introduction to CNC Controls Fundamentals
Micro-credential
Computer numerical control (CNC) machining encompasses the manufacturing process where machines cut, drill, grind and shape a variety of materials ranging from metals to plastic, based on computer codes. CNC machining can be faster, more efficient, and safer than manual techniques.
What you will learn
This micro-credential prepares learners to operate a CNC machine.
Upon completion of this micro-credential, learners will be able to:
- demonstrate how to load/unload raw materials and equipment
- setting measuring equipment to zero
- perform necessary equipment maintenance
- supervise machine operations and adjust accordingly
- inspect the finished product to ensure it meets required specifications.
